dying to post photos (and, omigosh, videos!) from our recent Bangkok trip! but our internet provider is one problematic hole so I guess I’d have to wait until I get our new line!
What happens when you put all the ASAP stylists in one roof sans the celebrities they style?
…a fierce tableau!

It was Boop Yap’s (1/2 of the Yap sisters) 24th birthday last Saturday and we just had to celebrate with her even though we all had work the following day.

Happy Birthday, Boopy! :)
Long overdue post: Thank you to those who graced this show. This day has been one of the longest days in my life but it’s worth every second we poured on it. One of the best experiences I had was to share the stage with my fellow stylists, Bianca, Anna, Patrick and Teej. But personally, the highlight of the night was learning that I have a gazillion friends (Paluwagan, Friendships, Bratzies, Loves, etc. - most of them don’t even work in the so-called “industry”) who were all present during the show!
Here are some of the looks I did for the show! Thank you styleflux for the wonderful photos!
When Maricar asked me if I can style her fro the Star Magic Ball, I went berserk and felt that I just had the urge to pull an RZ x Oscars episode. Fast forward to September 1st, two days before the ball, I felt that thru my laptop and phone, I could rule the world be the most effective stylist that I never thought I can be.

Shoes were my number one concern. I brought 7 pairs on the day of the ball for Maricar to be choosing from but we ended up using her own pair of shoes from one of her recent purchases in Hong Kong.

The gown, made by Francis Libiran was a simple but breath-taking number. I find it somewhat a hybrid of Elie Saab’s silhouette and Givenchy’s detailed craftsmanship.

Her minaudiere had to also be a piece of flashy so I decided to make her use the hot pink crystal-covered clutch I have.

But the jewelry, yes, the jewelry. Karat World, one of Maricar’s product endorsements was kind enough to lend me bespoke pieces for Maricar. I cannot even describe how expensive they are, it’s really hard to imagine that these tiny pieces would cost you two brand new H2’s beautiful the pieces are.

Maricar won the Stylista award that night. People say it was expected (because she wins EVERY year), I say back the hell off and stop letting the envy cripple you she deserved it!

I am a firm believer in inexpensive fashion and recycling so I guess it is but natural for me to find enjoyment in thrift shops.
Yesterday, I had a spontaneous ukay trip with the boyfriend and my friend Eds. Originally we thought of raiding the big ukay buildings in Cubao (only because I told Eds that months ago, I saw this really fierce Helmut Lang cotton maxi dress and other vintage Cacharel, Marni and Catherine Malandrino pieces there) but since no one’s driving, we ended up doing it in the very reliable (and accessible) Makati Cinema Square.
I had many good finds. Eds had twice as what I and the boyfriend got combined. I wish someone would remind me to post photos of the pieces I scored when I get to wear them na.

Some of the pieces I scored. a Givenchy (probably from the 80’s) printed men’s crew-neck shirt. a Dolce & Gabbana necktie and a pair of Chloe hi-waist hot pants (I got for Eds)! Steal, di’ba?
